Arhive lunare: Martie 2011

Regionalists –  Polonia, The Vision Youth Group – Turcia, System and G -Grecia, IYAC Youth In Action –  Bulgaria, Kulturne Centrum Aktivity -Slovacia.

Proiectul s-a desfasurat in cele mai bune conditii organizatorice si educationale.
DREPT, Asociatia Pro Prietenia, Asociatia Pro Tineret Vest, AIESEC, Crucea Rosie Arad.
Spectacolul a avut loc in club Morisson (str. Tribunu Dobra nr.10).

Why theatre must keep a line of demarcation so clearly between the actors and the spectators when it could do much more? Following this principle the participants will have the chance to react and interact with other people from very different cultural backgrounds in various situations. Through such forms of art events theatre comes among men, it  interferes in their lives and creates a final product without limits or determined time..

Theatre has been a creativity booster, formed minds and behaviours, helped establish lifelong connections with people you might not have ever met in any other circumstances. Developing your performance skills, helping you see all the subtle things in life, giving you a chance to make a difference for the people around you, making your dreams come true by giving you the opportunity to expose in front of people your most daring and more beautiful ideas. Standing on stage, facing the audience and the audience facing you; that’s one of life’s toughest exercises. Descending from stage to meet the one individual that makes the audience and without it would be incomplete that’s a challenge, a challenge and a task which you can accomplish by learning to see, to listen, to hear and fell what the Spectator feels. This is theatre! You have to know with whom you are talking, whom you are laughing and who you are making him cry.

Live as to learn and then perform on the stage of life as to give your best performance ever.

ProgressOn Association is organizing a project that will take place on 13 – 19 March 2011 at The Mureş Floodplain Natural Park in Arad – Romania. The project is granted by the European Commission trough the Youth in Action Programme, Action 1.1 Youth Exchange. This project is dedicated to youngsters that are enthusiasts for arts and culture and our goal is to create opportunities for communication and interaction, trying to find a common language of expression in the arts, especially the theatre.

The Mureş Floodplain Natural Park lies downstream from Arad to the Hungarian border, along the river Mureş. It has a surface of about 17,455 ha and includes the dammed area of the river Mureş; that is the flooding area between the dams built on each side of the river and between the high terraces of the same river. It is an area with periodical floods (a flood every three years), where plants and animals are adapted to these conditions. The Inferior Floodplain of the Mureş River is an ecosystem typical for wetlands, with running and still waters, with gallery forests,  stands of willows and poplars, as well as with riverside coppices  characteristic for a plain area. It is an important place for nesting and passage for about 200 species of birds, many of them being strictly protected internationally.

The idea of the project started from the desire to bring a change in the social life of youngsters and yet the desire to promote their involvement without being based on stereotypes, prejudices and discriminatory attitudes. We believe that theatre is one of the most simple and effective ways to personal and professional development because it helps to develop much needed skills in the formation of good leaders, speakers or simply in the formation of good citizens and offers also a better understanding of the social problems of youngsters in Europe.
This project aims to bring together young people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, to give them the opportunity to discuss, exchange ideas and perceptions and to find their own solutions for problems that confront us daily: poverty, social exclusion, discrimination , human rights, gender equality, the European construction and their future role in society.

All activities and materials will be distributed in English. In addition we have prepared activities that require the use of participant’s own language in order to acknowledge the participants present level of intercultural relationships in the project and to play a more real impact on social inclusion

TOPICS

  • Arts and culture – social inclusion, which are implemented through improvisational theatre;
  • Creating a poll of communication based on modern techniques of communication through art and debate sessions.

OBJECTIVES:

  • to raise awareness and empower young people about issues that both governments and civil society face daily and give them the opportunity to be involved in finding solutions;
  • to provide participants the opportunity to have their first contact with young people from other countries;
  • to provide them through non-formal education tools to develop a spirit of mutual understanding;
    to help young people develop their entrepreneurial side;
  • to establish a closer cooperation between youth organizations represented by them for future collaboration and exchange of practices on youth.
